  • The fact is the Elder Lutz's are all dead, Anson dead, the DeFeo's dead - the only person left alived who can tell the truth about this story is also the person noone should ever believe, due to his involvement and the numerous lies and multiple versions of the story he's told over the years: Ronald DeFeo.

Guess we'll never really know what happened.

  • When you say many of the Lutzes claims have been found to be complete exaggerations, I feel you may be grouping every story ever told about the haunting & attributing it all as coming from the Lutzes, which would be unfair.

Do you have examples of such claims coming DIRECTLY from the Lutzes?

Jay Anson admitted to embellishing the story when he wrote the book, but you can't fault the Lutzes for that.

And like your co-host suggests, Hollywood then fictionalized the story a lot further.
