Look up the English lyrics and listen to the music. Gainsbourg saw pop music as 'facile' - silly, shallow nothing to be taken too seriously. He did this to get a reaction and boy doesn't it still get a reaction!! lol. Madonna is not the first to create to controversy to promote records and interest, she was following in Gainsbourg's footsteps. This man was a genius, trailblazer and a visionary. Go and look up the English lyrics...don't judge things by just what you see, use your intellect.
