This "tribute" which served to only throw fear into the political discourse and frighten voters was shown at the 2008 Republican National Convention. Keith Olbermann spoke for many of us at the sic...

I dont see anything wrong with this at all. Nothing was graphic about this video, nothing was sickening about this video. It was a reminder of what happend that day and it should bring back the motions of being upset and angry. We should NEVER EVER forget what happend that day. Shame on Olberman for apologizing. There is nothing to apologize for.

I DISAGREE with Olberman strongly about this! 9/11 needs to be remembered. The PAIN of the fact that we LOST family members on that day needs to be remembered! If we forget nine eleven, people will loose the reason for fighting the war on terrorists! Listen those of you how were offended by this, this tribute, as well as many others, is a reminder of the horrors of what the terrorists are willing to do to America. These people HATE us and will not rest until America is dead!

Of course that day shouldn't be forgotten, but it should not be used as a campaign scare tactic, and I believe that showing this at a political convention was disgusting and inappropriate!! I do not believe that the Republicans should deserve to have The White House back again until they stop using this tragedy as a campaign scare tactic!! Espeically since their own party controlled The White House when it happened.

It strongly depends on the republican. I'm very ultra conservative and honestly I don't think that their's anything wrong using 9/11 in a campaign as long as you show that you are indeed touched by the event and promise to put the families of those who lost family members minds at ease. For them to know that we are going to get their loved one's killers and stop them from hurting anyone again for as long as we can. It doesn't have to be a scare tactic in a campaign. Besides Democrats use them to

You mentioned that Democrats use them too. I have no memory of John Kerry doing so in 2004 nor Barack Obama in 2008. Neither said that you had better vote for us, or they will get us again. I believe that Barack Obama is doing his best to stop attacks. As of now the nation has gone without an attack longer under Obama than it did with Bush at this time 8 years ago. I could tell that Mr. Olbermann started crying as the commercial started. Having lost friends in the attacks, he is upset.

gcoble,do you really expect us to believe that story?BTW did you see MSNBC run the today show from 9-11-01? if so, how did papa respond to that? and do you think keith should give another feigned response and apology?

Well first off i don't need the confrontational response. And i really don't care if you believe me or not. But what i said was true. And YES i did know MSNBC ran the "live" feed, like they have done every year. And yes I also get pissed at that as well. FOX also ran a show documenting when each major moment happened. My dad didnt even watch those shows that day. So yes it irritates me that they replay that crap over and over, we should never forget that day but it doesnt mean we cant move on.

And i think Olbermann got so hot headed because this was played at a poilitical event and in my view, did not need to even be there. We should never forget, but we dont need to bring it up and scare people to have a political gain.

You say we should never forget, maybee we havent but many have. BTW did you hear about the plot that was broken up?
They wanted to blow up comuters in NYC. If some ( see Keith Olbermann watchers) had their way the polices used to stop them would be undone. This is a reminder way these policies are necssary.
