I too agree with Senator Brown (and ESG) and disagree with your jibberish.

A tax on banks will hurt consumers. Corporations, such as banks, pass the cost of taxes onto consumers. The bank will raise the prices or fire people or dividends will take a hit.

Taxes are not the answer! Government needs to get out of the way, and let the free market do its thing.

@Riverboatrun Those banks made the mistakes in the first place and you're trying to justify passing the payment of these mistakes to the customers? Why can't they pay for it with a bonus freeze for high level executives instead of passing it along to the customer?

If anything, this tells me that the American people need to stop doing business with any bank that got bailout money with such a selfish attitude.
