    May I ask you a question?

    My grandmother rented a place in 1962 and before she passed away, she assigned the lease to a relative. Rent stayed the same. It was very low. Now that relative is moving out. Would I have the right to take over the lease at the same rent? Could the landlord veto my request to take over the lease?
