Wonderful song and truly amazing solo piano interpretation of it, as only Wakeman can do. This videos comes from the DVD "The Other Side Of Rick Wakeman", definitely one of his best ones.

Brilliant....Rick Wakeman at his best . Seen him in Sydney twice in own concert and with YES in 1972 - still best concert I ever saw . Know this song from the Strawbs and it's an inspiring piece , but even better in this solo . Rick's holding the technique together very well , too , in this difficult impro . I would not have thought the old Strawbs song would have been so moving as a piano instrumental. Maybe it's only that someone like Wakeman could have done it.

@carrietide. It is, of couse, an example of Dave Cousins extrodinary skills that this wonderful song, reduced simply to a tune, cannot fail to engaage. Add Dave's lyrics and this is really a masterpiece; Cousins is our most under-rated song writer and lyricist.
