I would like to say that those parents were among the most annoying soccer moms and dads that I have ever had the bad fortune to hear.

Also, you can't keep praising your saves or else you'll never get better. Sure, it was a save, but it wasnt an amazing one - let alone a great one. It was a save, thats it. Stick with that mentality and keep doing those. Do NOT put this on a pedestal.

I appreciate the criticism and will take it to heart.

You just have to understand that this is about the best that I get put against me.

It's also really difficult to not let the praise I get from my team and coaches get to my head. They pretty much always tell me that I'm amazing.

It's really good to get criticism after hearing what I hear on a regular basis. I work hard to improve my game, but having people give me inflated complements made me believe that I am totally awesome.

So yeah, I really appreciate the firm criticism. It kind of brings me back down to earth.

It would also have gone in had I not blocked it...I have seen many keepers in Louisiana and very few of them, if any, could have made that save. I never claimed for this save to be amazing, either. I blocked it and that's all that matters. Saying that a blocked shot is "not a quality save at all" isn't really cool, because the alternative to me making that save is a goal being scored...It's not the best save, but it works.

I was also using really bad gloves.

Buddy, you have one inflated head. I play in U-15 AAA D2 in Quebec and I get 100 of those shots every game. This kind of of save is regular, I mean come on with a shot like that I would either save it or get pulled from the game! From the vid you don't seem like anything special to me and that leads me to believe that your couaches and parents compliments are hurting you. Work harder and film a nicer save than that before you start showing off!

yea when i was like 11 i was in soccer and ANNOYING SOCCER MOMS FROM THE OTHER TEAM KEPT YELLING AT ME SAYING STOP F*CKING MAAKING THE SHOTS IN MY SONS TEAM AND BLAH BLAH BLAH. Ok so i was good they should have learned to deal with it so thats why i just flik them off and kept playing the game o and awsome vid btw.

Mentality is half of goalkeeping. Learn a limit and never get cocky. Being cocky will never make you improve. Your always learning, no matter how 'lame' one might think it is.
