I might get pissed answers, but, when Derek and Susan merge bands, is when I feel their acts are COMPLETE. Susan can play but never really radiates that comfortability on her own that other guitarists do. She was born to SING, He was born to play! When they are Soul Stew they seem to shine best. I'd like to see her sax player and her just join with Derek's band and be done with it! They're great together; and sure, let her play rhythm, but... you know what I mean?

@4rainbowed Look at their lineup for Crossroads 2010, with Oteil Burbridge on bass, Mike Mattison singing backup and the twin drum kit setup. I love their rendition of Leon Russell/Joe Cocker's, "Space Captain." They play with a different, more relaxed feel(melodic) than with the "traditional" dtb lineup. dtb was great while they lasted, but time changes everything and Derek & Susan have "moved on," so to speak... I don't care if people get pissed, it's the truth, deal with it, my Brothers...
