Sen. Leahy Opens Debate On Eric Holder's Nomination

Senator Leahy managed the Senate's debate on the nomination of Eric H. Holder Jr. to be Attorney General of the United States. Leahy delivered his opening floor statement around 3pm on February 2, and a vote was held later in the evening. By a vote of 75 to 21, Holder was confirmed as Attorney General.
