What a silly question. The continuing existence of religion is proof that people do not learn from their mistakes. Religion is all about refusing to learn. For example, scientific studies have proven that prayer does not work - as anyone can prove for themselves by praying for anything which is objectively impossible, such as for God to regenerate someone's amputated limb.

I will give Palin credit of igniting the far right of the Republican party, but that is the base of her appeal. She will not appeal to enough voters to win any electoral votes. Palin has shown she is uniformed about various issues important to most Americans
