These 2 handy devices are helpful for blind and visually-impaired people. I purchased these from the CNIB. Now I know if a telemarketer or a friend is calling just by listening to the number announced by the caller ID. I know how warm it is inside and out without having to squint at a thermometer.
I think the National Fellowship of the Blind, as well as the other blind agencies, would know where to get those devices in America. I bought both of mine from the Canadian National Institute for the Blind. BTW, the AT&T 1739 Talking Answering System is very blind-friendly. It speaks all its functions and the red LED display is easy for low vision folks to read. Alarmforce's Two Way Voice security system also is blind-friendly. I have it and the answering machine.
