  • What tree was their host?

  • The cecropia moth will eat many types of tree leaves, but we found they especially liked silver maple and sugar maple leaves. They grew on milkweed as well.

    I have seen 2-3 Cecropias in person in my lifetime, all when I was young and lived in the city. I have not seen one since I was much younger, and it was great to see that you reared some. Thank you for the nice video.
