Linda Stirling (October 11, 1921 -- July 20, 1997) was an American showgirl, model and actress. In her later years, she had a second career as a college English professor for more than two decades. She is most famous for her roles in movie serials.
One of the most strikingly beautiful and talented actresses at Republic. Thanks for posting this interview.
Wish I'd been able to meet her at a convention. I'm pretty much a shut-in now and all those 'B' movies and serials still bring lots of enjoyment. God bless, Dan :)
The "risque" line came from Sante Fe Saddlemates (1945) in which Sunset and Linda co-starred. Linda made six serials at Republic, one of which where she played a Zorro-like avenger. She left the screen to marry scriptwriter Sloan Nibley. She later became a English/dramatics teacher at Glendale Community College. She made a few appearances at Western film conventions until her death in 1997.
