Update. I did some research on this fan and have read that the best airflow you get out of this fan is a light breeze. Much less air movement than a fan with blades of a similar size. The claim of a multiplying effect means nothing to me. I want a ration between the air flow of this machine compared to a regular fan of the same size. Cleaning the thing will be difficult, as the fan is in the base and air vents at the bottom. How do you clean out all the dust that will get caught in there?
The damn thing is too expensive. It's a nice invention. Fans don't buffet air, slapping it into your face. Fans produce a pretty smooth area of air. Seeing the tissue test on a dyson fan shows the air is not as constant as he would make you believe. The ONLY thin this has going for it is that it is quieter than a fan with blades. AND the dyson fan has a blade in it's base. So it's not truly bladeless. An impeller is a blade.
@senunkid hover crafts have already been invented, and the solar panels would never give enough power to life them over their weight, that breaks laws of physics.
Okay I had an idea for the last few months with the fan.If you've got a big enough fan and a really good energy supplies as in a solar panels that gives the fan the energy that it needs.Make a really light craft that can carry people but light weight craft it should pick off the ground but the fan has to put out a lot of wind. This might be the next thing closer to hover craft it might take a few years to come out with but its not putting out pollution that kills earth give it a thinking
