Great Video. A friend of mine was talking about doing this to her floors and this was very informative.

Then what you are planning to put down is basically a paint and if so then a primer would probably be a good idea but make sure to etch the surface in order to get a proper bond
If you are going to be in a high traffic area don't expect your"concrete stain" to last too long
Hope that helps

I have a small covered front porch (6' x 6')that I'm planning on overlaying with 1 1/2 to 2" of redi-mix portland then freehand stamp a "cobblestone" or "paverstone" look on it. I want the "rustic" look as opposed to a smooth finish. The existing rocks in my landscaping are various shades of grey which I would like to mirror image on my porch. Would I be better off using a powder stain as opposed to an acid stain? remember, a variation in color scheme is what I'm going for. Thx in advance. Troy

The Envirostains grey (TL) may give you the antiquing effects you want but using powder is always a viable alternative but will not give you the antiquing look that puddles in the veins and creates that natural stone look
