    You made a really good point if these exercises are going to have any practical value at all in our daily life.

    Very often when we need to work on something near the floor, such as storing items under a kitchen sink or plugging something into an electric outlet, we kneel down on one knee. This is the position that I think we should practice doing lunges from so we can maintain the strength to get in and out of that position as we age.

  • I always touch it lightly, how else can you know you're low enough?

    Sometimes I let the knee go past too because how else do we prepare our bodies for when the knee goes past accidentally anyway?
