Every owner of a ps3 has to do this. Many people said you could only get Yellow Dog Linux to work on 720p and 480i, but if you know what your doing you can get it to 1080i.......xbox who?

the 'i' stands for interlaced, 'p' progressive. progressive is the wholescreen drawn at once in one frame. interlaced is every other line in the screen drawn at once. so 'p' is twice the definition of 'i'
