Being part of the human progressive movement doesn't mean joining an agency; it only takes kindness and the time to stop and help a fellow living creature that is hurt or in danger. It also takes teaching children about compassion and kindness. Cruel acts are wired into a young brain and become a "normal" part of behavior without intervention. Cruelly to animals translates to humans and ultimately to themselves. A better world is compassionate, tolerant and educated.

Thank you! My kitty Harley (age 4) spent over 2 years in a cage because no one wanted to adopt her. The animal hospital thought she was feral & unadoptable. We've had her for 1 year and she's the best cat ever! She rides on my shoulder, goes for walks at the beach & hiking & fishing with us. She knows all kinds of tricks and even lets me brush her teeth and bathe her. We are very lucky that she choose us for her forever home. So, everyone, please consider adopting a pet from a shelter.

whoever treats there animal cruel, or tortures there animal, deserves to be spat on, and killed slowly. There isn't a much worse thing to do.

I have two Beagles, both owner surrender, and rescued...they are such a joy! One was surrendered twice, the second time the "owner" said she (the dog) was "too active"...who has heard of a placid Beagle? And Oscar, my kitty...all spayed/neutered and LOVED

at 1:15, that one dog in the cage on the left, I'd snap him up in a second if I didn't have two dogs (one came from the pound) already. I'd probably take the one of the the extreme right for good measure.

If people knew what great dogs can be found at shelters or at petfinderdotcom, they wouldn't buy their dogs. They're cheaper, come with discount neutering vouchers, the older dogs have most likely been housebroken. What's not to like?
