The girls evidently were not participating in this project on their own accord. They were also not taken care of properly. Therefore, those funding and carrying out this research violated in a most repugnant way several basic and critical standards of medical research.
The case of the girls in the MA series is atrocious not only because the research performed was questionable at best, but also because of the clear intent to deceive on the part of those funding the investigations. As ApoAZ noted, research of this level of sophistication cannot be carried out in a mobile home in the middle of nowhere.
Second, medical research is bound globally by strict guidelines that enable advances in the care of patients without compromising the dignity and physical and emotional integrity of the patients who participate as subjects.
The position explained in this video is thoroughly wrong on several levels. First, bioethical thought in the past 50 years has agreed that human beings can never be used as objects or as means to a goal, regardless of how noble or worthy such a goal is. No greater good can ever be used as an excuse to treat a human being as a tool.
We do have enough information to see the right and wrong of this situation.
The test subjects that Maddison and Adam rescued were pregnant. Even if Zipp Enterprises was able to get the mother's permission to experiment, they couldn't get the same go-ahead from the unborn children.
You also have to take into account that Zipp Enterprises was hiding their research in a mobile home in the middle of nowhere; they knew what they were doing is illegal. Spare me their cover story.
Proof that emo is killing society.

I'd like to see you volunteer your spine for the good of humanity. Help cure MS affecting millions, help stop so much suffering!
In fact, let's not care if you volunteer. Let's just take your spine and then dump your body...
Oh wait, we might not find a spine in you...
