  • The Haradrim in FATW are based on the books, whereas TATW may have gained some concepts from the movies (?). Of course, we don't know exactly what they looked like, but we have some good clues in the books and we've tried to incorporate those into the mod. Yes, Arabs, Saracens, etc. would - we feel - be quite close in our world to the Haradrim of Tolkien's world, or the nearest we have to it.

  • The Haradrim were tribes, yes - though Haradwaith was not all desert at all. In the Fourth Age mod scenario they are again (generally) united under the banner of the Black Serpent. There will be some rebel provinces and also a break-away Haradrian faction in the final release of FATW in 2011 (see dev diaries on this channel for "Dominion of Men").
