great voices . greetings from peru cusco Machupicchu

I wish they had called it something other than Finlandia. People tend to think this is a translation of the Finlandia Hymn, but it's a whole different song set to the tune of Finlandia.

The real love. The God's love. Congratulations for the great voices. Made me closer to my own soul and heart.

If Andrea had her own national anthem...this would be it.

It would be more accurate to say that this is a recording of the words written by the poet Lloyd Stone (1912-1993) to the tune of the hymn-like portion of Finlandia, composed by Sibelius in 1899-1900 (which had no words). Lloyd Stone often fails to get credit for these words that he wrote in 1934. The poem has three verses, when sung to the tune from Finlandia, it is usually given the title "A Song of Peace" or "This is My Song."

First time I heard it I got goose bumps all over and just wept, like not sniffle and a tear or two, full on wept!

This is a beautiful song which reaches across boundaries and petty patriotism to speak of the love that everyone should feel for their own land... and therefore of the whole World.
If we had grown up singing this instead of the belligerent and jingoistic national anthems that we're all used to, perhaps this World would be a better place.
I am therefore nominating it as the official anthem of the Peace Movement... and of The World March For Peace And Non-Violence.

this made me cry....
WOW!! Our little Aussie girl is really going far!! Man, is there anything better than hearing Amy's soulful deep voice rising up under the high voices of Missy & Emily. The Indigo Girls are TRUE artists

I actually like this recording of Finlandia more than the performances! Artists always sound better without the metallic sound of microphones.
Missy looks precious sitting there holding her sheet music. Love you guys!
