  • I would have thought heat barrier before insulation, too. But the directions from the company specifically specified otherwise.

  • I used about 1 gallon of the sound-proofing, and 1 gallon of the heat shield.

You can usually find it on sale at Jegs or Summit - I think that's where I got it.

Thanks for viewing - I put this on here so long ago, that I forgot it was here!

  • I was hoping you would tap on the sheet metal to show the difference is sound dampening. I use their industrial line at work for insulation and it works great. One of the fastest and economical method of isulating. Great video!!

  • @heresteven

Yes - I should have demonstrated the sound after application. Truthfully, you probably would not notice much on video, though. When you tap on it, the sound is about the same, but it no longer 'rings'. The sound is damped out quickly.

Thank you for your kind words about the video.

  • Can you use a rolling brush to apply this product ?

  • @1982warpath

The instructions supplied with Lizard Skin (TM) say to only use a brush or roller for spot touch-ups. To apply the product itself, you need to spray it. The spray gun in the kit is like a paint gun, but with a larger nozzle, so I suppose you could use an undercoat gun or something like that.

  • Shouldn't you put the heat barrier on before the insulation? Just curious,it seems the heat barrier would be best suited closer to the floor where most of the heat would come up.

  • i am doing a 70 cuda i waz woundering how many gallons it took to do the inside and i want to do the whole undercarrige with the ceramic for undercoating just trying to figure how much i need

  • Was that Por 15 you applied it over? I coated my interior with por 15 already and was wondering if im going to have to use the por 15 primer before i put the lizard skin on

  • @atpate Thanks for the heads up. I will be purchasing this product soon.
