  • THE KEYS TO SALVATION: HEAR the gospel...Rom. 10:17. BELIEVE the gospel...John 3:16. REPENT of your sins...Luke 13:3. CONFESS Christ...Matthew 10:32. Be BAPTIZED...Acts 2:38. Live Faithfully...Rev. 2:10.

  • By baptism you obey Christ (Mark 16:15-16; Acts 10:48; 2 Thes. 1:7-9). Do your important souls a great favor and read what I have posted about baptism in the Bible for yourself, without getting caught up in the footnotes added by men. May our Maker bless you all as you challenge yourselves to this study. Praise King Jesus!

  • By baptism: you are saved from your sins (Mark 16:16; 1 Pet. 3:21). You have remission of sins (Acts 2:38). Sins are washed away by the blood of Christ (Acts 22:16; Heb. 9:22; Heb. 10:22; 1 Pet. 3:21). You enter into the church (1 Cor. 12:13; Acts 2:1-47). You enter into Christ (Gal. 3:26-27; Rom. 6:3-4). You put on Christ and become a child of God (Gal. 3:26-27). You are born again, a new creature (Rom. 6:3-4; 2 Cor. 5:17) You walk in newness of life (Rom. 6:3-6).

  • Old Testament Saints were saved by believing and calling on the name of the Lord and baptism was not even around.

  • "You must be born again of water and the spirit" -St John This means water baptism;

    "Baptism now saves you"-St Peter This points back to John 3

  • Ill just stick with what i have read and not listen to you .

  • It does not sound as if you have really read the other side. Have you? Please read an Lutheran or Church of Christ perspective. You make affirmations not at all supported by the passages you cite. Just look at the blessings in the NT associated with baptism. does your phrase "merely an act of obedience" do justice to these? God is the one who "works" in baptism (Col. 2:12). Acts 2:38 and Rom. 6:1ff associate wonderful blessings with baptism.....not apart from faith of course.

  • Who in the world is man to try to change God's plan of salvation? Jesus started the church and added to it the same way with all people. Period! In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established. Acts 2:38, 10:48, 19:5, 22:16, Romans 6:3-6, Galatians 3:27, Mark 16:16, st John 3:3-5, Colossians 2:12, 3:17. 1 Peter 3:21. People that think they can come anyway they want, will experience Matthews 7:22-24. How can u be saved without putting on Christ? OBEY ACTS 2:38.

  • Why are people always trying to change God's word that probably never had a supernatural experience with God? Read Titus 3:5, works of righteousness, and James 2:14-26, works of faith. There 's a different. Faith without works is DEAD. If noah had faith, but never put work to it, by building the boat like God said to, we wouldn't be here. He had to build it, not the way he wanted, but the exact way God told him to. Salvation is the same, not your way, but God's way. Acts 2:38. Period!

  • Thank you for let me know the true mean of Baptism because most of Christian brothers I know takes too ritualistic on the term and make it as a neccesity
