GUANTANAMO BAY, CUBAAn apparent snub by the Canadian government has dismayed officials on the Obama administration's task force who are working to resettle dozens of detainees here and close the prison, a high-ranking administration source told the Star

Last week, a military commission of inquiry heard that a diplomat posted to Afghanistan twice warned, in widely circulated reports in May and June of 2006, that Afghan detainees handed over by Canadian troops might have been tortured. Former senior diplomat Richard Colvin, whom the Conservatives are trying to block from appearing at the military inquiry to answer questions, wrote in his first report that he had learned of "serious, imminent and alarming" problems concerning the possible torture of Afghan detainees.

  • if you said weekly video please allow me the opportunity to not waste any time by saying -

    FREE MARC EMERY

  • LOL.

I agree, I would have said this on my video. I am not afraid of speaking up for weed, it should in no way to be criminalised in order to make more profits more the prision industry complex.

  • dont worry, I will be ready to meet him with a shoe ! lol..I kids!

  • no, you wil be arrested.

  • It's a classic case of talking the talking, but failing to walk the walk.

However, I still have trouble placing too much, in terms of blame and/or responsibility, on Canada's shoulders. Guantanamo and this war are U.S. constructions, we need to accept ownership, take up action in repairing the voids we've created and hope for help in any form and from anywhere, Canada included.

    Good vid!

    Peace.

  • You are right, it is U.S fault, and they tried to blame us for being a haven for terrorists in Canada, but that shouldn't exucse us from doing what is right and taking a m oral position in torture.

  • :)

I'm so happy to hear this & I figured you might ;)

im white but im just sayin.. by way of a quote

"At the beginning of the 90's, there were a million people in American prisons.

When Clinton/Gore left office, that number had grown to two million.

Drug crimes were responsible for the bulk of that increase, and 80% of those who go to prison for drugs are there for possession, not dealing." --from Stupid White Men

  • Yeah, you are entirely right when you say that it's important to take moral stands.

  • 說得很好

    但是美國是美國

    阿拉是阿拉不一樣

  • I don't care about the religion part, what pisses me off is that fact that the US GOV is going to deport her back to the middle east. There going to kill her. She was crying in fear. I would never deport anyone if there life is at risk. But today politics world wide care about M.A.P.(Money and Power) They'll help a rich, but the poor usually gets ignored. Unless the media starts talking than they act like they give a shit. Which pisses me off even more.

  • i read about that, she has the choice to be a christian and good for her, she should have the right to choose her lifestyle.

  • Here in the US there is a Arab girl that quit being a Muslim. Because she had a choice, she became Christian. Anyway that is not the point. She was happy to make her own choices in her life. Now she is in court telling her she needs to go back to Pakistan. She is afraid cuz in the middle east it's death. Woman don't have rights. She is afraid to go back, she is still on trail over this. She is telling the judge she can't go back they'll kill her. I hope she wins. Poor girl she is afraid.
