@wolfpack, exactly music is expressive and its refreshing for a artist to be this honest.

Stop all the hate. This is art, and it's beautiful.
Stop trying to label it, it's not indie, it's not bubble gum, it's not pop, it's Perfume Genius.
If you think he or the music is so pretentious, don't listen to it.
You're not obligated to post a hateful comment because you don't like something, don't let your own insecurities about homophobia or whatever the fuck it is get in the way of enjoying an awesome piece of music.
It is what is it, and it's dope.

I don't see how anyone finds this enjoyable....even hipsters.

Perhaps the only thing more sad than this beautiful song's topic is the typical comment posted on here. It appears the dumbing down of America is complete. We's done need some more LMFAO Cletus.

This is pretty shit to be honest. Weepy childish frailty mixed with lyrics abour murder....it just screams "pretentious". Also, his voice sounds terrible here.

This is bubblegum? It's a fucking piano ballad about a child serial killer. Can you please tell me what's bubblegum about that? The lyrics are several layered allusions, and it's quite intelligent. Don't hate on it just be cause you didn't catch them yourself.
