On the flip side I do think that bars should be smoking (It would also be nice to have non smoking bars). But they shouldnt have babies in them. If Im going to a resturant I would like to breathe, Im im going to a bar or even some Hardcore venues, I am less woried about enjoying the food and the company and more about the other stuff

people arent typically alergic to crying babies, crying babies dont put people with asthma or other health probems at risk, and the smell of crying babiies doesen't doesent stay in your cloths and hair. If a baby is disturbing everyone in the resturant they can be asked to take care of it, often the parents will take the kid outside or to the bathroom, which is more than I can say for smokers. It is your right to smoke but not to endanger the health of others.

ya ya ya, everyone should have the right to light up a cig and blow the smoke in your face because this is a free country. it's a bad habit that affects other people in a negative way... fact of the matter is, the GOVERNMENT had to step in to control YOUR life because people can't control their own lives unless they are told what to do, its sad.. why cant smokers go to bars and just hang out for a few hours without a cig?

The fact that the rights of smokers is infringed upon is not the issue here. The issue is that the Bar OWNER is not allowed to control what happens in their own bar. Give the bar owner the choice. Secondly, as long as the bar has good ventilation the smoke will not be an issue, just like their used to be smoking and nonsmoking sections. This is just as bad as the seatbelt law...the government stepping in when they shouldn't to control the lives of those they dont have the right to.
