It's not a monoply yet, but google seems to be becoming a monopoly though.

Google bought out youtube, forced youtube users to create a gmail to create an account, and also forces you to disclose a private phone number to make new accounts for "verification."

And to restrict users not obeying their antics, it's hard to use this account typically because most programs only recognizes a gmail account not just a youtube username anymore...

    GO BING

WSJ owned by Rupert Murdoch, Rupert Murdoch is in competition with Google over advertising revenue.

We were promised that WSJ wouldn't change after it was bought over... it used to be along with the Financial times the most objective newspaper in the world, WSJ has gone to shit now... FT for me.

Again, a monopoly is just a description for dominate control. Everything you described are actions taken by monopolies not indicative of them. I am not defending monopolies, I just hate when people associate a word with a stereotype. Mononpoy = evil, politician = corrupt, socialism, communist, capitalism, etc. These are just words. Even if the stereotype is 99% true most of the time it doesn't mean its true all of the time. Also, USA does not equal "world view".
