Learn how to create custom error messages with this free Excel video tutorial. This shows you how to change the default data validation error messages to something that actually describes the error that was encountered. This is a particularly important feature to use when you need to let users know exactly what the error was that they caused so that they know how to correct the error.

This tutorial shows you how to change the error message image, title, and error message itself. This is a very important feature of data validation that should be implemented in most cases where there is data validation present in Excel.
