@fraizer57 Of course, during that time, Carter was in power, a World-Class Wimp, second only to Obama in terms of kissing the asses of America's enemies, and betraying our friends. America passed up the chance to keep the Shah in power, and now Iran is Russia's pawn.

America has been interested in Iran since 1939, but they've been in Russia's pocket since 1946, according to the Cold War timeline, and in 1948, Mossadegh openly betrayed America, which did not improve relations between the two countries.

America put the Shah in power, but Iran revolted.

Iran will fall as the majority of people there are under 25, most hate islam and pay lip service to it, when they become middle ages their children will complete the counter revolution.
