Tired of your phone directory oppressively assuming that you're straight?
Then let your fingers walk through "The Essential Gay & Lesbian
Directory," a.k.a. the Gay Yellow Pages. infoMania's "That's Gay"
correspondent Bryan Safi sits down with the book's founder, Tom Adler.
Tom's brainchild allows gays who haven't discovered Google to flip through
ads for hundreds of gay-friendly businesses, all of which appear to be
staffed by shirtless men with six-packs.

That's Gay is a recurring segment on the weekly television show infoMania. In each episode of That's Gay, Bryan Safi explores gay issues and stereotypes as they are portrayed by the clueless media. For more Bryan visit http://current.com/groups/thats-gay/ and Current TV.

infoMania is a half-hour comedy show that airs weekly on Current TV. Picture the ultimate office water-cooler, only with funnier co-workers who willingly stay up late imbibing all forms of media so you don't have to. Caveat: Bring your own water. • Doesn't that just further separate gay people from straight people? No, no, no, we're not using the STRAIGHT PEOPLE's Yellow Pages, we've got our OWN Yellow Pages. Because normal Yellow Pages are ineffectual for gay people because?

  • @TheFinalAlice the point of Gay Yellow pages is not to separate us from the population. The point is to promote gay owned businesses. By supporting gay owned business, the money stays within our community.
