@Nonie46 ??? More info please. I was in Florence recently, and heard this Russian singer on a street corner singing this song (to a large, appreciative, and largely Russian crowd.) I recognized it from the Libera album. Who IS this mysterious Russian composer???

@ValPalKellster And please don't forget the Russian composer, who, notwithstanding his extreme fear of being accused as a reactionary by the communist government, composed this very touching and beautiful song and attributed it to Giulio Caccini.
