There's a big difference between puting down a baggage and throwing down a baggage. That is called quality. You either do something right, or let somebody else do it.
The same thing happens in LGA, DFW, BOS, ORD... makes no difference. Would you rather they land on a lovely pillow you pay $22/seat more for, or would you complain about that too?
Generally speaking when this happens its because the bags are for the "express" flights or interline which have their own runners who load their own carts---or this could be a flight from CLT, the crews there are known for mixing local bags and connecting bags in the same bin.
I always think it's funny that people are constantly being shocked by the "treatment" of their bags. It's not just US Airways, it's every airline that does this.
This is nothing. You should see what happens to it when they're not in plain sight of passengers.
If you got a job doing this, you'd lose your sense of "baggage sensitivity" within about three days.
If u dont deal with bags then u dont know how stupid people pack every damn day

Some are connectors, some aren't. It's simple.
