Not trying to get into a "rugby vs. football discussion", but I do think your comment shows you have never played football, or at least never haven't been coached well as an offensive lineman.
Requires a lot of thought, if you watch all these videos, Coach Wright spends more time discussing the technique and tactics, not 'how to push'. With regards to 'no thinking', offensive linemen in the nfl, (according to the wonderlic test) are the 'smartest' players by position.

Besides, nothing is more fun as a lineman than physically and mentally dominating the man across from you. And it usually depends on much more than who is the better 'pusher'.
Glad you enjoy your sport. I had a lot of friends in college that picked up rugby as a club sport once football wasn't an option anymore.
