Yep, it is. The VHS this is off of has two shows. This one, and one the next night. Both begin with the date stamp from the camcorders. The date also coincides with pages online referencing a concert recording at the Pipeline...and one one of these videos the DJ who was there commented how it was recorded from his booth. So there is quite alot to point to this being 1989.

BTW, I'll be uploading the second night's show in a day or two.

@njscorpio my copy is timestamped "AM12:07, JUL. 19 1990"... It's definitely the same show. What you posted for Terrible Lie is missing the timestamp and DJ intro. My source says it's The Pipeline, date is 7/18 (after midnight, so stamped 19). I do have a copy of the 12/9/1989 show at The Pipeline - they have xmas lights on the equipment, different drummer, Trent is wearing a t-shirt (w/ sleeves!) that says "GOD SQUAD".

Curious what the other show you have is though... looking for trades...

this is a really good version of it, i have trouble believing its 1989, unless Suck was written before he got together with Pigface, or maybe Pigface was around in 1989? the video looks like it was shot in 1989. Trent's style, age, etc.

@NWOWCW4Life1 You may be right. I was nearly certain that he didn't perform Suck in '89, but, of course, I could be wrong. I was an assistant engineer on a few NIN sessions with Trent, Richard and Jeff in Chicago in 1990 and they already had a live recording of Suck at that time. So although my gut tells me it's 1990, but my gut's been wrong before. :)

@skrason i can kind of understand why you guys think that but it's definately 1989 and Trent like cut off his dreads somewhere in 1990 to early 1991 but it's definately 1989 so he performed Suck while the albums were not out kind of funny cause Suck wasnt released till 3 years later on Broken yet he performed it in 89 but it's definately 89 by the date stamp but you can believe if it isnt 1989 or 1990 im not trying to stop ya

@CompassAndTheRuler this song actually WAS done by Trent Reznor before he did it with Pigface, which explains why he sang the lyrics on this song on Gub, and why he is able to perform it and sell it on his own records. Look it up.
