Son House, Recorded in 1942 by Alan Lomax for the Library of Congress. The record titles it as Walking Blues, but as you can tell the lyrics eventually made up the bulk of 'Death Letter Blues'.
Thought you Son House buffs might enjoy this.

  • Anyway, Son sang from the heart, he wrote lyrics down but most of it came from what he was feeling man, he shares lyrics in his songs because in the end they all tell his story.

  • thats not the original

  • @UJS8X that's why there are uncompressed file formats like flac. But the vinyl is cooler and it's not digital.

  • thanks for putting this on!
