Interior Secretary Salazar issued a secretarial order in December that restored the Bureau of Land Management's authority to protect wilderness-quality lands.

  • Thanks for the excellent explanation. A lot of wonderful wild lands are at stake. The anti-wilderness people seem to think wilderness should be inventoried once and then never again. But they never propose limiting ORVs or oil and gas to a one-time inventory.
