Im so confused at 3:40. Why do you put your index on the 4th fret,e string if you're not playing it?
-
cat lurkin in the background at 4:01
-
@patrikrush what also works is g string on 4th fret much more easier

Thanks for the post but it's kind of the beginner version, isn't it? I don't mean to be crass....the open d part isn't played with a single g string 11th, 9th, 7th, 6th....it's chords. Think triads. The verse parts ( diddididid you hear the falling bombs) flatten out your finger into a barre....5th fret - 2nd, 3rd, and 4th strings all plucked together...down to 4th. You get it. Another thing, which sounds great. is dropping the 6th string to D. it's adds a lot. Lemme know and thanks again!

Thanks alot, always wanted to learn this !!!

haha, the cat came in to see who you were talkin to, then goes back to his lair, but decides to
remain in the camera's eye.
thanks for the lesson. I got it now.

Hi! i think the open g string at 00:17 sounds wrong. os there any other ways to play it?

@patrikrush I'm not sure. You could fiddle with something and see what sounds good.

@mike3571 now i have one! what do you say about changing the open not to 9 on d?
patrikrush 1 year ago
@patrikrush Do you mean 9th fret on d? I'll give it a try later and get back to you.
mike3571 1 year ago
@mike3571 yes 9 fret. i think that´s more right! it shall be fun to hear what you say!

@patrikrush I did try that and it does sound good! The only trouble I have with it is I liked hitting that open note to buy time to get up to the next part. But the note you gave is a B so you can strike an open B instead, though it doesn't sound quite as good as doing 9th fret D string. I am going to fool with it more though. Thanks!
