  • It has nothing to do with money, Why have a 4 lane highway when there isnt the traffic half of the year. Also there are no interstate highways for the obvious reason of YOUR NOT IN THE STATES, The majority of the trans Canada highway is 4 lanes anyways.

  • @MrHighwaybandit Interstate, freeway ... same difference. I think it has everything to do with money. Same desolate area but south of Canadian border has an interstate. Go north and it's a 2 lane highway with "ducks crossing" signs.

  • Very enjoyable listening to you talk about the job. The scenery was beautiful as well.

  • thanks. i tried to make it interesting. but i'm not sure i want to go back to that part of country in winter again :)

  • I suspect that they don't want to plow the road unless it is really bad they let the vehicles 4 wheelers/ 18 wheelers drive over it along with the salt and sand which will dry it up and dissapate snow/ice. This saves the road from pot holes and save the road maintannce off season.

  • Beautiful! I love Canada!I love Jasper National Park!

  • Ну снег для выходца из СССР явно не проблема;-)

  • luv your vids...be safe ..keep posting

  • He's right about his comments on the trans canada. It wasn't even passable by truck until the 60's because of the terrain. They made it work, and are doing work to it now to improve it. A major improvement was the kicking horse area. The trans canada needs to be improved big time for safety. Been trucking through here from calgary to vancouver for a long time and it's probably one of the worst stretches of highway in north america. Many people have lost their lives on this road, I've seen many.

  • HWY # 16 has never been the Trans Canada Hwy, TCA is numbered #1

  • The amount of traffic that goes into BC through Jasper is very little compared to the traffic travelling in on Highway 1. But none the less nice video, I just don't agree with you bad mouthing us as a country, Very few Canadians bad mouth you guys, but yet 80 percent of you guys fell it is okay to bad mouth us.

  • ....... it is self admited by the california goverment that it needs to be improved but because of lack of funding nothing can be done. My second point is in Canada we have many highways you would compare to the interstate, we just spend money where it is needed, why run up billions in debt like some other countries when the work is not needed. Your cruise through alberta on the 16 would have taken you through edmonton (higher population more lanes) Toronto high population 12 lane highway.

  • How often do you drive through the rockies. I do it weekly, and if you look at the work being done going through on Hwy 1 it obviously has nothing to do with money. I heard in the video you saying that your from Ontario, is that Ontario, CA or the province of Ontario here in Canada. Your smug outlook on Canada I'm leaning towards California. From this I have 2 points, 1. California'a interstate system is a joke compared to the rest of the usa, it has the worst gridlock in all of the states......
