why is it that these eye doctors who do lasik have not had lasik themselves? They wear glasses.....hmmmmm.....

If you look up complications of LASIK, one of them is cataract; and, if you have had lasik and need cataract surgery, you WILL go back to glasses b/c the will not beable to correct your vision b/c you cornea was altered by LASIK..they should tell their clients of all the risks of LASIK! I would have never done it...LASIK ruined my vision and ruined my life!! I get to see my children grow up in hazy blurry eyes now.

Do people always report the foreign body sensation, dryness, fitting problems with contact lenses? This report quite simply doesn't tell you a thing other than this is a part of a hate campaign against LASIK. I'm starting a hate campaign against glasses. It's called: "FOGGY GLASSES CAN KILL YOU, LASIK WON'T" Clever, right?

Would be interesting to hear one of the optometrist's patients who had his/her eyes ruined by contact lenses. Yep, for every LASIK treatment going wrong, you've got a patient who developed or will develop corneal ulceration or severe scarring after contact lens wear. For some reasons, however, bad contact lens outcome is seldom discussed.
And while you're at it, how about the patients who have had their corneas cut with shards from their broken glasses - even eyes removed?

Cataract is not caused by LASIK - period.

The doctor that performed surgery on my husband LIED on the reports to the FDA, he testified that he removed my husband from the "study" so that his report did not show that there were complications on his reports to the FDA. How many more were not reported. My husband sees 7 of me, 3 in one eye a nd 4 in the other. This is a complication not reported by the Dr.

laser vision surgery ruined my eyes at the age of 31. I lost my career because of an unethical surgeon named Anthony Roberts. He works for Lasik Vision Institute in Rockville Maryland. Don't trust these hacks to be honest with you about the real side effects and dangers of laser vision correction They have zero accountability if things go wrong. They are 100% because they make $. You will not get a proper informed consent.

I can relate. I am 39 and developed a cataract in my right eye after lasik. I know see very hazy and have been for awhile. The doc that did the lasik kept saying that it was b/c my eyes were dry and kept giving me drops to take. A specialist says it is b/c of a cataract

This is David Hartzok, O.D.
An elective procedure, doctors will not come clean about the possible side effects of LASIK. Twelve years post-LASIK and it remains the worst decision of my entire life. Are you willing to take that chance?
