Do you have an interest in Black Gospel music? Or perhaps traditionalJapanese Drums? Have you ever thought about what it might look like if the two were
blended together into a single performance?
This summer Studio Re:, in partnership with HGF and Matsuriza, will be doing just that. Filming a performance in which the two are fused into one.
The final outcome? A paradigm shifting music video with a documentary exploring the heart and history of each artistic form.
Filming will commence June of 2009 by a talented team with members from Japan and the United States. The project itself should be released for viewing between late fall of 2009 and early 2010.
More details and updates coming soon!

Description of Music Video: Japanese Black Gospel choir (300 voices) performing "Ride on King Jesus" with Wadaiko Troupe (Japanese drum ensemble). We believe this is the premiere performance of Wadaiko X Black Gospel fusion music.

just watched their video tonight here at Northwestern College, King Jesus, which was the full music video of combined Taiko and gospel. Utterly fantastic, exactly what I'd hope to see grow in the Japanese church.
