RNC 2008 Protest - (Spy) Agent Provocateur Arrest

Agent Provocateur: Traditionally, an agent provocateur (plural: agents provocateurs, French for "inciting agent") is a person employed by the police or other law enforcement body to act undercover and entice or provoke another person to commit an illegal act. More generally, the term may refer to a person or group who provokes another to perform a wrong or rash action, the deliberate purpose being to incite wider conflict or harm.

- This scene happened roughly around 4pm. I noticed a protester medic(a medic who works with protesters to treat injuries etc) who you will notice dressed in a black shirt with khaki pants with the universal medic 'cross' displayed on his clothes approach the riot police located behind the rallies stage. Almost immediately other protesters and protester medics began denying they knew who this guy was and claimed he was a police undercover. Also reported later by one of the local major media sources that a journalist was able to follow the police and provocateur after he was led away, where he was then released from restraints, patted on the back and let go. This was all part of a process to allow the police to shut down and discredit a peaceful assembly and march.

The question to any doubters of the situation is, why the hell would a medic purposely stand-off with police knowing that it would only lead to an arrest, during a 100% completely peaceful assembly? Also note, if you have seen any other videos from arrests at the RNC, this guy was taken in/down, pretty gently.

It wasn't a video, it was an article, which I am not able to find at this moment. I'll keep digging for it and share it when it's found. I read the article either on 9/4 or 9/5. It was within an article listed under the local news for the twin cities(where it lists local headlines for all the media networks and newspapers etc) on Yahoo when you put in your zip, I want to say it was an MPR story.. but I'll try to find it.

Thanks for posting. The arrest shown ABSOLUTELY is suspicious. When protestors OUT a provocateur the provocateur has to get arrested to escape his further interrigation by the crowd. I hope the journalist who followed also got photos. This news story is a slower cooker but I have faith the story will break eventually.

I think they are saying that the guy visible around 20 sec in with the red crosses on his legs and arm is 'not a medic' and they've 'never seen him before.' Trying to say that guy is some kind of undercover cop. He is not wearing a mask though.
