Compare to the UCAS and LC, the ED were primitive. But they made up for that because they could easily steamroll over their foes. it is bullshit, because the USSR wasnt ready for fight. stalin killed more than 40% of the officers.
only in 43 the SU was on the same lvl, after the war it was the biggest military power on history.
and after this, it collapsed. xD
