How to Make a Magazine Vase

------TIPS:----------
*The wider you want to make the shape, the more layers of rods you'll have on top of each other before you shift them up
The more narrow the shape, the less layers

*If using regular glue, the longer you let it dry, the sturdier it'll get. You don't have to have it completely dry before you add more on though

*Wrap magazines around a glass bowl to have the illusion of a complete magazine vase, but put water in it and actually have flowers in it

*When i make another one i'll try using hot glue instead, i don't like the stringy things it leaves behind though, and you have to work faster

*Thinner magazine pages work the best.

*How long does it take?
Not sure. I never really sit down and do it for hours or anything. Most of the times i just worked on it during my planning period in the morning. Then through the day I might make a bunch of rods and a couple here and a couple there. It's not a project to do in one sitting ya know? You do a little, walk away, come back and do some more as you please

Hey Dari, Im Making my vase now, question....What do you do when the rods are too short to connect?

@myenmoni just keep overlaping them and going around

as you get wider (even wider than i had) it made take 3 or 4 rods just to do one circle around!

Question: instead of reg glue could i use a like paper misha glue and paint it on? and like at the end and im done take that paint like glue and go over whole thing for like extra secureness?
