In this modern day and age mechanics worry about screwing something up. Citroens are different, but they can be serviced by a skilled mechanic. The key is to use him for all your cars. Most mechanics will do so as a favor to their customers. See if you can work along side of him on your Citroen. Start with an oil change, inspection, etc. Show him videos, explain the hydraulic system. Most mechanics got into the profession because of a love for cars, Citroens are fascinating cars.

I had a hard enough time with a Saab and Peugeot.Mechanics looked at me like I was a transsexual Martian wanting to buy heroin.A Citroen they'd probably just shoot on sight.

haha..thats funny story. We had the 73 DS21 pallas...if citroen produced these cars again, like the Mini, with a few modern technology changes and updates can you imagine how popular they would be?

Umm, it is actually a Citroen DS.
I will say that Tatra 603's are amazing vehicles.

A fascinating film, many thanks for showing it. I'm intrigued as to how that single-spoke steering wheel worked. Any ideas??

The single-spoke steering wheel works fine. It's sturdy and provides an unobstructed view of the gauges. (even more so on the CX)
