The department has two fire companies, a rescue squad and a fire-police squad, all under the direction of Chief Heinz Riedrich and Deputy Chiefs Kenneth Scherer and Edmund Keck
Silver Anniversary, but actually its two companies, Hook, Ladder & Hose Company No. 1 and Water Witch Engine & Hose Co. No. 1, have been active since 1886 and 1889 respectively
