  • The young lady obviously has tremendous tayaari and a beautiful voice. God has more than blessed her with a great guru and great voice.

It may help, however, to stick to bringing out the mood of raga and lessen the vocal gymnastics. Also the tabla solo in the middle of the raga is long enough to make you forget what raga was going on in the first place.

We can never forget the 'music' itself is above any of us and our skills.

  • Really I am speechless and I don't want to comment any thing because I don't know what should be the ideal adjective. I only salute to her and to her parents. This is also my wish to enjoy a jugalbandi with our legendary Guruji Pandit Ajay Chakrabarty. Already she is blessed, I wish her long and successful journey in musical kingdom.Thank God that he has given us this opportunity to show her to our children as their "Role Model. She has proved the proper blending of talent and hard labour.

  • @divinemilkman there are always influences of one tradition on the other..i dont know if some raga has been adopted in carnatic from hindustani. But, in carnatic music, violin is commonplace, which is not an indian instrument (its italian)...so these kinds of borrowing from one tradition to other is always there..

  • The extra tabla rhythm is totally uncalled for. This is more about showing off than doing proper justice to the actual Raaga which is so beautiful. She has got talent but what is lacking is maturity. Technically this is perfect but it lacks a soul.. For a comparison watch the same song in the film Meghey Dhaka Tara

  • @luckyguy313 i agree with you 100%. All these people that are being critics are full of crap. I don't think they understand what it takes to even perform a fraction of what these artists have achieved.because they saw so many amazing musicians they feel they have a right to criticise people now. STOP THINKING TO DEEP INTO IT AND STEP BACK FOR A MOMENT AND SIMPLY ENJOY. THE ONLY CONSTANT IN LIFE IS CHANGE, DONT EXPECT RAAGS AND TAALS TO REMAIN THE SAME FOREVER. IN FACT WE SHOULD WELCOME CHANGE...

  • yeah you are kind of correct, buy you know what, it seems like people like you are looking for a reason to dislike, and totally forgetting just how amazing it is and what it takes for a human to achieve a fraction of what these musicians have performed here. Looking to deep into something that is simply divine. The only constant in life is change, so you can expect the way raags and taals are performed will change overtime. It will not remain the same as when raags were first made.

  • Awsome And Lovely Voice +Eyes + Face !!

    Love U Kaushiki !!

  • @luckyguy313 sorry.didnt intend any offence.she s inheritor of great tradition and gharana.its my humble opinion that she listen to the gharana masters more carefully.i wish her all the best.

  • funny paltas with no emotion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT DO YOU MEAN?

I don't think that her music is making anyone laugh and i don't think that your opinion is so important YOU definitely lack sense in your thinking and maybe right musical knowlegde!!!!!!!!!!!!! She doesn`t need your futile opinoin anyway

  • What a beautiful and playful raag Hansadhwani is. What a poor treatment she has given to it's spirit. Sharam ki baat hai, for such an exceptionally skilled singer.
