  • THIS IS FIRE! :)

  • You don't need more than one gear with that engine.

  • not as much as a BOV cause not all the air is dumped..

  • @Abampofu how can it reduce lag when the air is pushed back trough the turbo, causing it to slow down?

  • @emmaorion That sound is made when there is no blow off valve, it is called turbo flutter.. when the trottle closes, there is no dumpvalve to release the pressue, so it pushes back into the turbo, it reduces turbo lag.. and also reduces the life of the turbo at the same time.... Jeremy Clarkson from Top Gear said it sounds like squirrels being sucked into the engine. lol

  • hmmm shitbox.

  • @codenamecordon

    Blow Off Valve.

The reason it makes the "blow off" sound several times, is becouse the air in from the turbo goes forth and back when it reaches a low enough pressure. Then when the dumpvalve closes, the air flowing trough it pressureises a bit more, and it opens again... this happens until the pressure made after closing the dump valve is to low to open it, or you press the throttle again.

  • @Antrieb530 wait, what sound is that? I've noticed it on quite many cars (tuned) but what causes it?
