He did die, at 2.18 he had 56 lives and 9 coins in 2.20 he has 55 lives and 25 coins. And he magically got a fireflower?

@TheAngelicDemise Mario didn't die he was small so he couldn't break the blocks, it is edited but that doesn't mean he died it was just to show how to get the last coin of the level without having to play it all over again... ^_^
