@Lucifercrossing Youre right...for some reason I thought they came to their senses much earlier with those gold pants...I never liked the gold uniforms but loved the Forum Blue (purple). a white with purple and gold would have been nice.
@ldhorricks Check out the website on nhl uniforms - says gold pants from 70-77. I was a huge Bruins fan in the 70's and they always had these unis on when the Bruins were pounding them - I bet Esposito got half his points every year against them and the Seals!
Kings only wore the gold pants for one season all other years they wore purple (or forum Blue as it was officially called)...i loved the Kings road purple and gold and that original crest was one of the best ever...their new unis and crest are terrible.
@yogibearstie You must be talking about the 1975 prelimanary round playoff game three with Toronto. As a kid I used to watch Hockey Night in Canada which never showed west coast games on TV but they did show this one. I missed it and have been searching for a video for about 10 years. My neighbor told me about the stick fight. The 1974-75 LA Kings are my favorite team of all time in hockey. Was crushed when they were elliminated by Toronto. LA had no talent but finished fourth overall that year.
@yogibearstie Wow some of this stuff brings back some pretty good memories. My Dad used to get 2 for 1 tix through lets dine out back then. 7:55! No home games until I think ONTV came around with Stu Nahan and Dan Avey, Right? Away games were on good old channel 9. Even with that being said, sometimes the games were tape delayed. Still, good stuff.
@ldhorricks Exactly right. In the early 80's I used to go up to Bob Miller and Nick Nickson (if you could catch them during a TV timeout or stoppage) and get my programs signed. Was really a press row if you think about it. No real box or room or anything. Kinda small crowds back then unless the Kings played the Oilers, Boston, or Philly.
@ldhorricks They always looked like pyjamas to me :)

Those all gold uniforms were so cool. The kings stuck out like solar flares wearing those. The kings should bring them back as their third jersey.
