A personal favourite song using my personal 'home' photos. From 1975 and their 2nd Dark Horse label album 'Harder To Live' is by North East of England duo Splinter. Co-produced by (ex Beatle) George Harrison and Tom Scott. Vocals and writers Bill Elliott and Bob Purvis, with Chris Spedding, Waddy Wachtel, John Taylor, Bill Nuttycombe, Bill Dickenson, Earl Palmer and Ralph McDonald. Other highlights from the album include 'Lonely Man' 'After Five Years' Berkeley House Hotel' 'Half Way There' and 'Sixty Miles Too Far'. These tracks helped form their 2nd of 3 UK albums. Distrubuted by A&M for Dark Horse records SP-22006. Their first album 'The Place I Love' featured George Harrison on guitar and their only top twenty hit of 1974 in 'Costafine Town'. The slideshow here features some of my near to HOME themed photos, including one of Little Ginge the stray cat, still trying to find his Which Way Home. In the meantime, we will keep feeding him with love and affection. Hoping to upload more Splinter tracks both here and on :- http://www.youtube.com/user/phivosify

  • @albainbridge1 - Al, always been my favourite too, yes the photos probably would be more suited to Newcastle, but for me the sense of a need of belonging somewhere like HOME sums up the lyrics. Thanks.

  • Still a great song, George Harrisons favourite I'm told and super pics (as usual) showing total affinity with the lyrics. Love it!
